What Our Friends Say

Our own note: We will be the first to tell you that we are far from perfect! We do try hard, but we fumble along the way, for sure. We are honored, humbled, and brought to tears by good friends who wrote such kind things. This section is too long... but we wanted to give a sampling from different areas of our life. Many friends asked how they could help in this journey so we asked families that include: an ecclesiastical leader, old neighbors, new neighbors, a high school friend, boss/mentor, and a sibling on both sides of the family to share their thoughts. All of these families are forever friends and mean so much to us.

We have known this family for about 10 years now and we can honestly say they are one of the most amazing couples we know. Nic and Natalie are the kindest, most loving, most helpful, most generous, most fun couples we have met and this is not an exaggeration. We love this family! We have always enjoyed being around them and feel blessed to call them our friends. They are hardworking, faithful and honest individuals.

We have truly been blessed by our friendship with Nic and Natalie and appreciate their good example to our family. Natalie worked with both of our daughters in Young Women’s and she had a positive impact on both of them. They love her and will always cherish the time they spent with her. We are just grateful to call this family our friends.

I have known Nic and Natalie over 10 years and cherish the friendship of their entire family.  When we first became neighbors, they were finishing their backyard using typical bobcat equipment.  I had not noticed one sound that bothered me, but Natalie showed up at our door with a plate of homemade cinnamon rolls and a note apologizing for the noise.  That kind of thing was just the beginning of hundreds of acts of loving service I have witnessed over the years from this family.  They were there for us during the hardest time in our lives with a love and support that literally carried us through!
I served with Natalie in the Young Women organization for the LDS church for 3 years while she was the president. I watched her love and care for 30 teenage girls as if they were her own.  She tirelessly attended to their needs in a personal way that I am still in awe of today.  She is fun, spiritual, caring, organized, energetic, smart, and all around amazing in every way. Nic is right there with her.  He's hard-working and kind with a great sense of humor.  Their children have been friends with my kids all their lives and they are well-mannered, well-rounded, and just plain awesome!!
I love being at their home.  Not only is it so stylish, cute, and well-organized, but more importantly, there's a spirit of peace and happiness that resides there.  You just don't want to leave!  They do activities with their kids that blow my mind...themed Halloween costumes for their family each year (did you see that super-hero picture? I'm pretty sure that outfit of Natalie's is not just a costume, but the real deal! Nic's is just a costume, however!! He displays no actual hulk-like characteristics in real life), parties to celebrate everyday occurrences, and super creative bucket lists for summer time  I have asked if they'd consider adopting ME,  but apparently they want someone who's a little younger to join their family.  I can't think of a better family to join. Truly!!  I am so thankful to know them and honored to call them friends!

Megan and Nick

We met Nic and Natalie almost a year ago when we moved into our new home. They were the first ones to come over and say hi to us. While we were unpacking and trying to get everything in order, Natalie, Nic and the kids came and brought us dinner. Such a blessing!  We became quick friends and I can honestly say they are one of the best families we know. We share the same values of church and family. I love how their kids are such good friends with each other.  Natalie is one of the sweetest most genuine people you will ever meet. Nic is super hard working and fun. You can tell how much they love their kids. The child that gets to join this family sure will be one lucky kid!

In the time that we've known them, we've been able to see that they are an outstanding family. Nic is adventurous, generous, hard-working, and faithful. Natalie is optimistic, gentle, thoughtful, and organized. These two complement each other well, get along well, and make a strong team. Their kids can count on them to provide for them and to give them fun, rich life experiences. The four kids are social, kind, and get along well with others. Our kids enjoy playing at their house, which has a good feeling present. The environment there is a welcoming and loving one.

Here are a couple of specific examples of this family's awesomeness: 1) When we went camping with them, the campsite circumstances were less than ideal. But they still smiled the whole time and kept mentioning that we were all "making memories." They also didn't hesitate to share their food with our family when we completely burned our foil dinners over the campfire. 2) When we had our baby, they were eager to help us out. They brought us a big dinner AND a delicious breakfast for us to enjoy the next morning! SO above and beyond.

These are some good folks. We've been touched by their thoughtfulness and generosity, and we know they will bless the life of the fifth child that is meant to join their family.

Joy and Pace

We met Nic and Natalie shortly after their daughter was born. It was amazing how quickly we got to know them. We also found out that our husbands had a lot of qualities alike. Natalie and I also shared a lot of the same qualities. Nic and Natalie are wonderful people who make everyone feel welcome and loved. They are genuine and real. We have gone on a few family trips together and have always had a good time. Nic is a hard worker who provides for his family. He makes time for family outings and memories to be had. Natalie is so patient and loving. She is a wonderful mother who loves being a stay at home mom. She loves being home and being with her children. She is always willing and ready to have family and friends over to have a good time. Nic and Natalie are so good about spending the quality time with their kids and focus on the things that matter the most. They are truly an example of the things I need to be doing with my own family.

Any child that comes to their home is one lucky child. The child will be loved by all and cared for and made a part of their family. I love seeing their testimony and faith in the Savior, Jesus Christ. It is something that amazes me and I know it brings happiness into their lives. They enjoy spending time together and it shows in the smiles and excitement from all. We wish them all the joy, happiness and success on their adoption journey. We know that any child placed with them with be loved and happy. We sure love this family and we are excited to see this journey with them.

As you read through Nic and Natalie’s adoption blog, you are probably asking yourself, “Is this family for real?  Can they really be as amazing, kind, compassionate, fun, thoughtful and faithful as it appears?”  The answer is a resounding YES!!!
This family truly is one of a kind. They are the type of family that those who know them try to emulate.  Their home really is one of the happiest places that you will ever be in.   It is a place of love and faith.  It is a place where children can play, learn, grow, and develop amazing work ethics and learn to cope with life’s challenges with a positive attitude.  It is a haven away from the storms of the world.  Whenever I leave there, I feel rejuvenated, uplifted, and determined to be a better neighbor, friend, wife and mom.
I have known Nic and Natalie for 9 years and have been impressed as I’ve watched them parent their children.  Their kids are happy, confident, talented, smart, and faithful little people with the desire to do good.  Natalie is constantly coming up with activities and ways to help her children grow to their ultimate potential.  She does this in a way that her kids just think that they are having fun.
Nic and Natalie are amazing examples of serving those around them with their whole hearts!  They have taught their children by example to look outward.   As a fundraiser for our church, Nic generously aided with his landscaping equipment to help the scouts in our church have an amazing outdoor experience.   He has personally helped our family countless times and is always willing to serve.   I have watched Natalie influence countless young women.  She is a role model of how each of us should serve our Heavenly Father.   She looks for ways to make someone’s day brighter even if it’s as simple as a smile.   Her texts, phone calls, and visits to me have helped me on a personal level countless times.
We love this family!  They have been such a blessing to us in our lives.  We are excited for them to adopt and welcome a new little person into their loving home.  He/she will be cherished, loved, and touched with goodness.

Nic and Nat, Natalie and Nic. These two. They are just the very definition of amazing.

I (Dorothy) have known Natalie for (wow) 20 years now. We went on our first group date together, on her birthday and I was the driver.  We got into a minor accident and it was stressful for two 16 year old girls. Even on that crazy day, Natalie found the positive in the situation, put on a smile and we kept the night fun. She has an amazing ability to find the joy in life, while at the same time being sensitive to heartache or "reality" that may come her way.

Years later, after graduation, college, missions, and marriage, we were able to connect and double date a handful of times as married folk. It is always a great time with Nic and Natalie and they will forever be the kind of friends we consider family. They can knock on our door anytime and we will always open it up to them. I love the way they compliment each other with different strengths the way chocolate chips and that perfect amount of salt make a chocolate chip cookie what it should be. Without one or the other, it just wouldn't be as good.

Nic has a care free sense of humor and never hesitates to be his true self. I've never met another chill person be such a picky eater. ;) He is also one of the hardest working people I've ever met and treats others with respect.  Natalie has a goofy side to her, but she is unfailingly grounded in her beliefs and will stand up for her opinions when needed. They both always put family first and focus daily on strengthening each other along the way. I have never heard them in an argument, so I can't attest to what happens there, but I know they strive to always be on the same page, respect each other's opinions and have great communication.

Natalie and Nic have a home filled with love and we love them. We hope they are able to find the final piece to their sweet family puzzle.

With much love,

Cameron, Dorothy, and Kiddos

We love our uncle Nic and aunt Natalie and our awesome cousins and are grateful to be not only a part of the same family, but also to be their friends! We are excited for them to find the little one that will complete their family and we feel that adoption is such a gift of love.
Nic and Natalie are really, really great parents. They love to create memories, instill traditions and make the best of everything that comes their way. They are always positive and have kind things to say. They teach their children through their examples of hard work, service, kindness, and thoughtfulness towards others. They take the time to really communicate with their children and have a great relationship with them and with each other. They love to get down and play and create and laugh with their kids on a daily basis.
Nic and Natalie know the importance of a close family. They know that part of that is having faith in our Heavenly Father and His Son, Jesus Christ. They know and teach their children that Heavenly Father answers prayers. They serve with all their hearts in whatever they are asked to do and love the church that we belong to because of their faith. This is all very evident by spending time in their home and with their family.
Their home is a safe haven from the world. Love really is spoken there. Natalie loves being able to stay home with her kids and is on top of things because of her ability to organize well. Nic works hard to provide for his family (and is really good at what he does!) but also still has plenty of time to be there for his wife and children and spend time with them. We sure do love their family!
